The countdown is on for Knutsford Music Festival which returns this June with a plethora of activity across the three-day weekend!

The festival sees the return of family favourite Music on the Moor which takes place on Saturday 11th June. The event is hosted on the Moor, Knutsford’s premier park and close to the King Street car park.

The event is free for all to attend and has something on offer for all ages to enjoy!

Eight local artists will entertain festival goers during the event playing a variety of acoustic music on the ‘Moor Stage‘ which runs throughout the event from 12-4pm.

A free craft workshop for kids will be on offer where children can craft their own little musical instruments! The craft workshop runs from 12.30-2.30pm; children can also enjoy free face painting for the entire event!

As well as live music, the fantastic African Drumming Workshop ‘Drumroots’ will return to the event to offer drumming workshop sessions which are open to all ages! The workshop has featured at previous events and proved to be a hit for both children and adults. The workshops will be 20-minute sessions to allow a larger number of people to enjoy the drumming and will run from 2-4pm.

Event goers will also be able to enjoy fresh food and drink from local traders, including popular local coffee van Tatton Perk, as well as street food options. Event attendees are encouraged to bring their picnic blankets and make an afternoon out of it!

The wider festival weekend takes place from 10th – 12th June including headline events and fringe festival, which are smaller events hosted by local businesses featuring live music.

Huge support for KMF as community embraces inaugural event

ORGANISERS have praised fantastic support from across town following the success of the inaugural Knutsford Music Festival.

Dozens of acts graced more than 20 Knutsford venues on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with fringe gigs running alongside town council-organised shows.

As well as big names such as 90s Britpoppers Dodgy and award-winning Blues artist Rebecca Downes, home-grown talent was given the chance to shine from St John’s Church to Saks hairdressers.
