Plans have been revealed for a four show programme of folk music for this year’s festival, starting with a pre-festival exclusive show from host Mark Radcliffe himself on Thursday 8th June.
Details for the other three nights have been revealed, with shows taking place across Knutsford Little Theatre and St John’s Church.
Friday 9th June will welcome genre defying folk troubadour Chris Fox to the stage alongside superb double bassist John Parker, who will headline this show at St John’s Church. They will be supported by the fantastic Georgia Ruth, who has been described by The Guardian as “one of the British folk discoveries of the year”.
On Saturday 10th June, the “utterly brilliant” (BBC music) Katherine Priddy will headline, again at St John’s Church, with support from Australian folk award winners The Weeping Willows.
For the final show on Sunday 11th June, we move back to Knutsford’s very own Little Theatre where the fantastic Budapest Cafe Orchestra will play two fantastic sets as a closing show you don’t want to miss. BCO are a refreshingly unconventional and snappily attired boutique orchestra who will bring you gypsy and folk-flavoured music in their own fresh and surprising way.
Each show is guaranteed to be an incredible night; you can purchase tickets to all of these shows and more from 12pm (noon) on Thursday 9th March via our website.
