FESTIVAL organisers are bringing more musicians than ever to the streets of Knutsford this month.
Knutsford Music festival returns from June 20 to 23, and festival goers can catch 44 performers across the weekend, with events in more than 20 locations across the town, including shops, bars and restaurants, Knutsford Library, The Moor and Regent Street.
Fringe events have been organised by local businesses and community groups which will fill the town with music.
Headline events have been curated by festival organisers Knutsford Town Council, kicking off with the return of Friday Night Blues on Friday, June 21.
This has become a staple event of the festival with a hugely positive response after performances from previous Blues headliners Rebecca Downes in 2017 and Mat Walklate and Tom Attah in 2018.
Blues fans can catch this year’s headliner, the incredible Blues supremo Michael Roach perform with his daughter Sadie, supported by incredible local talent The Valkyries and Rick Whitehead.
2019’s festival will also see another amazing evening of classical music, hosted this year at The Courthouse.
All-girl string-crossover group String Infusion will headline this year’s event on Sunday, June 23, supported by music graduate duo Sophie Leaver and Mark Newberry.

Previous headliners include Halle Brass of the world-renowned Halle Orchestra who headlined in 2018.
The most exciting event of this year’s festival will be The Main Event, headlined by The Levellers and The Wonder Stuff collaborator and Celtic Social Club front man Dan Donnelly.
Donnelly will be joined by his friend and talented fiddle player Ben Paley, and the duo will be supported by a range of amazing Cheshire talent Megan Dixon-Hood, Jack Woodward and Knutsford’s own K-Town Beer Band.
You can catch this exciting four-part extravaganza event at Vermilion Studios on Stanley Road Trading Estate.
Also coming in 2019 is the return of Mark Radcliffe presents Folk at the Theatre, which was a sell-out success in 2018.
Mark is bringing three more days of astonishing folk musicians to Knutsford Little Theatre from June 20 to 22.

“We have a bigger festival than ever before, with a massive 44 performers across the four days of the event.
“We are so humbled to see such incredible involvement from our amazing local businesses and community groups once again this year.
“There is such a wide variety of events offered this year and definitely something for everyone, from rock fans, to folk, classical, blues and more.
“We are so excited to welcome our headliners Dan Donnelly and Ben Paley to Vermilion Studios for The Main Event, plus our Friday Night Blues headliners Michael and Sadie Roach, and Classical at The Courthouse headliners String Infusion.
“Music on the Moor will be returning on Saturday afternoon after the incredible success of last year’s session. We are also welcoming a new Sunday session Moor Music, featuring Mereside Brass on The Moor from 2pm ahead of our classical event.”
